Our Story

I’d like to welcome you to Flair Gymnastics. We’re a friendly bunch and we’re always happy to welcome a new addition to our Flair gym club family.

Our passion since our first club opened back in 1998, is building confident kids and we’re very enthusiastic about it!

My own background as both a South East gymnastics champion and a former stuntman with work including the Harry Potter franchise and Game of Thrones encouraged me to share my passion and expertise with as many families as possible and I’m on a mission to help as many children as possible grow in confidence through the awesome sport of gymnastics.

We have an esteemed reputation for coaching excellence, super-fun classes, exciting tumble and trampoline camps and staging record-breaking competitions and events.

I look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to the Flair family.

Meet the original Flair family with words of wisdom from Flair Founder Richard Dwyer, his mum Kathy and his nan Sylvia.

Building Confident Kids Since 1998

Richard started Flair Gymnastics back in 1998 with a thirst to empower every child who walked through the doors with the confidence and independence that his own gymnastics journey had enabled him to achieve.

Richard was the South East of England gymnastics champion as a teen and then had a 20 year career as a professional stuntman with over 300 on movies and TV shows including Harry Potter, Sherlock Holmes, 28 Days Later and 24, Doctor Who.

Richard is the driving force behind Flair, passionate not just about gymnastics coaching, but also about helping children to learn vital life skills with confidence at the core. Richard also works as a motivational and TEDx Speaker with his specialist subjects being goal setting, mindset and children’s education.
