I love the Spring. It’s the best time to make a new start, spring clean your home and your mind and blow the cobwebs away. As the sun comes in through our windows it leaves us feeling refreshed and optimistic. We look forward to seeing your child at their club ready to start a fresh, new term and learn some new gymnastics skills.

Get ready for a new start at your gymnastics club - Three girls writing in diaries leaning on trampolineGOAL SETTING IN STUDENT TRAINING DIARIES

If you didn’t manage to stick to your New Year’s Resolution, like 95% of the population, it’s time to get re-motivated. Listen to these quotes and be inspired:

“We cannot start over, but we can begin now and make a new ending.” says Zig Ziglar

“Every story has an end but in life every story has a new beginning.”

“Today forget your past, forgive yourself and begin again.”

“You can’t start the next chapter of your life if you keep re-reading the last one.”

“Do not wait until the conditions are perfect to begin. Beginning makes the conditions perfect.”

I encourage you to write your goals down (the same as we teach each member to do in their training diary), write down your goals in the present tense, as if you have already achieved them and put a deadline next to your goal. Because “Goals are dreams with deadlines.” And read your goals out loud on a daily basis. This will really trick your mind into believing that you have already achieved your dreams.

Don’t forget to raise a toast to your Queen who will be 93 years old on 21st April and celebrate St.George’s Day on 23rd April. I think it’s high time that we celebrated being English with a massive party on St.George’s Day. After all, as you all know, England is home to some of the best bands in the world! On St.George’s Day we can celebrate all the things that make England great. From the language of Shakespeare to the World Wide Web. Even Morris dancing!! England is a country whose artists and athletes inspire millions and whose influence extends right across the globe so let’s stand up and be proud!
